OK, here's the thing, if you are considering doing this with out a prompt from her so that you two may spend more time together, then you may want to rethink it... As ballet is a great source of exercise, poise, and discipline, This may be kind of like her alone time so try to make sure you give her her space. If she has been asking you to join up, then, first, let me congratulate you on your security, and go for it, the world needs more male ballet dancers. Sure! I personally love dancing. Dancing makes you graceful, balanced and well exercised. It keeps you fit and it is a great way to let go of your emotions and just have fun. I do ballet 2 hours a week and i have been in ballet for 11 years. Trust me you wont regret it.

Absolutely! Prepare for a leg workout you will not believe. Teaches you balance, grace, posture, line, and body mechanics. Scenery is not bad either.
I don't kow how old you are that might be useful to know for further advice. Ballet needs more guys.

Um no offense to you or the other answers which ar all valid,,,BUT,,, Why wouldn't you do something simply because YOU want to??? Not to please someone else of at some direection from a parent, that's "CUZ I SAID SO"
My daughter was in Ballet and Dance for 10 years, but because SHE WANTED TO BE!
