Its for a 2002 Suzuki GXS 600R. This is my first bike and I have a few tickets on my record.

Geico and Progressive both actively court the motorcycle community - their rates are very competitive.

Also, get your MSA certification, if you haven't already. Cycle-savvy insurers will discount your premiums if you do, and, even better, it might just save your life some day.

Don't ride a motorcycle in SC. I was in a bad accident (in charleston) and luckily I'm still alive. Only because I was wearing a helmet. I was going straight through an intersection with a green light and some idiot wasn't watching what he was doing and turned in front of me. ( He made a left and he was coming towards me.)

I hit him head on and broke my hip, my wrist and some ribs, also punctured my lung. And totalled the bike. I was following all the rules and not doing anything wrong. You're better off selling the bike and investing your money in the bank or something.

If you must ride your motorcycle in SC, then I would get progressive.

Check Progressive Ins via the net. But also check GMAC auto/motorcycle ins. Expect to pay $$ with moving violations.
