Paris actually surrended rather than have it destroyed when the Germans came in and the order to put paris to the torch when the Germans fled was never obeyed.
Potentially bits and pieces were destroyed, but not the wholesale destruction as what befell London

It wasn't destroyed in the sense of total destruction, but there was some damge on the outskirts during the re-capture of the city by the Allies in 1944. It was mostly factories and such, but nothing like what happen to London or Berlin.

The correct answer is, technically, yes, there was some small damage to minor buildings and residences as a by product of skirmishes between Free French resistance and the Vichy/Nazi "police"...but there was no wholesale bombing or destruction in Paris proper. Hope this helped.

When it was first conquered by the German, the french called Paris "free city". Therefore there was no fighting.
When the allies invaded the german, there was fight between french resistant and nazi inside the city but nothing too major to be considered destroyed
Paris was spared.

It fell to the Germans quickly. Not a brick was knocked out of place. Typical when you throw the front door of your house open and lay out the welcome mat.
Zoot alors!
