I'd say "Starship Troopers" or "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress."
But as another respondent said, once you read one Heinlein, you kind of want to read lots of them.

Tough question reading Robert A Heinlen is like eating peanuts once you start you can't stop.
If you want to read something light then I would suggest starship trooper, Farmer in the Sky or DoubleStar
If you want something to make you think a little more then "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress."
If you want to think a lot more then "Stranger in a Strange Land" or the later books in the Lazarus Long series.

I'd recommend the first Robert Heinlein book that I ever read ...
The Number of the Beast
Unfortunately, this will make you want to read more of his books ... honestly it will, then you will want to re-read this book!
