I haven't come across such sentences anywhere. Though i've often used it while saying , what r u getting at ? according to me its correct as the 'at' signifies an idea, point

Beats me. In most cases it merely adds redundancy to things. "Where do I put the bucket?" is perfectly clear, no need to say "Where do I put the bucket at?"
