Don't believe it until your ticket is in your hand, your butt is in the seat and the whole band is on the stage. With Roth and Eddie V's volatile relationship, anything could happen.

VAN HALEN AND ROTH - FINALLY IN 2007:
No more teasing. Never tease where Van Halen is concerned...I have information from a highly placed source that Van Halen will likely tour in 2007 with David Lee Roth as frontman.
Negotiations are currently underway to re-unite Van Halen with their original frontman for a tour in 2007 that will take in Amercia and possibly other territories. While nothing in the world of Van Halen is set until the band walk out on stage, I can confirm that negotiations between all parties have been underway for some time, trying to put together a big 2007 re-union tour.
One would presume the tour will feature classic VH era songs only. What I do not yet know is whether this plan includes exiled bass player Michael Anthony. Perhaps Wolfgang will play bass? I'm told these questions will be answered shortly.
Van Halen last toured in 2004 with Sammy Hagar, but the tour ended on a sour note and Hagar has not talked to Eddie Van Halen since.
What I also know is that there will be no new Van Halen release to go with the tour, such as The Best Of Both World's in 2004. There is no plans for a new compilation or a new studio album - just the tour.
More details when available.

I believe it's very possible. The money that tour would generate would be increadible, and huge incentive for them. If they don't get Mike Anthony back in, that could be a setback, probably more so than they think.
BUT
Would it be good? Eddie Van Halen had his good nights on the 2004 tour, but the bad nights were really, really bad. Who cares what he looked like, the fact is on some nights well....he sucked.
I haven't heard anything positive about DLR in a long, long time. What I've seen has been disturbing.
If they could get over themselves and get back in shape, it could be good. Combine thier pontential to suck, and it could possibly even shake-up the most loyal grass roots fans.
I hope they pull it together and do it right. That would be awsome.

Well, only if you take David Lee Roth and have him stuffed first! Then you could just stick a speaker in that hollow head of his and run the Van Halen song book through it!

I Hope so! I LOVE David lee Roth! he's the only guy that can fit the bill. I couldn't stand Sammy Haggar, or Extreme's lead singer. I like them on their own, but ROTH is the LEADER

I saw them 3 times with DLR in the early 80's. Mostly lost interest when Sammy joined - the music got too safe. I won't go see the reunion (if it happens) unless Michael Anthony is in the band. It really is not VH without him at this point.

i'm only happy I observed them on the commencing up of the excursion while Eddie rather regarded rejuvenated on the degree. From what I study in comments, it wasn't long after he got here to Boston while issues all started going downhill in this excursion. i think of as quickly as they introduced the excursion replace into 50 dates or in spite of, people all started putting bets on how long it would take in the previous they cancelled exhibits. shocked that it wasn't a combat w/ DLR, yet not shocked it in contact Eddie.
