If a stupid question is a question not asked, then would a stupid answer be an answer not given? If so, would one conclude that one should ask the stupid question to get the stupid answer? Or would that be just the same as golden is to silence as silver is to duct tape? I think so, wouldn't you agree?

No, you are connecting the stupid question with the stupid answer. They are separate. Under your pretense, the stupid question is not asked. To ask it would invalidate the nature of the question. Under the same pretense, a stupid answer being answered violates it's definition in that it must be unanswered.

Well, logically, do agree silence is golden and yes duct tape is silver. But truthfully would take the duct tape any day, can be used for a lot more things than just taping some morons mouth shut. You can also use it to bind them, blind them, hobble them, the list in my mind goes on and on. Yes silence is golden, but duct tape has a h*ll of a lot more uses!

Any question asked in the pursuit of knowledge is not a stupid question... Answers can be foolish... that's why you should weigh everything against your own experience and the experience of someone you consider to be wise. Question Everything!!! And don't accept one answer as ultimate truth.

Questions are far different than answers. Stupid questions require smart answers while smart questions frequently get stupid answers. It this, answers to questions are inversely proportional.
