The Allies used many different aircraft during the Cold War, 1945-1990. The most famous were the C-47 cargo planes used during the Berlin Blockade/Arlift. The U.S stationed many fighter wings of F-4 Phantoms, F-15 Eagles, and F-16 Falcons in Germany during that time frame along with a variety of transport aircraft, incliding C-130, C-5,and C-141's.
