even if it started to have an affect on your personal self-esteem?

Honestly I'd say things about yourself that would imply you don't appreciate being conceited. Or stories about other people to get the point across. If that doesn't work and you continue to feel that this person is having an affect on your own self-esteem then it would be better to find yourself a new friend. Gradually pull away and she just might naturally find other friends. When you leave someone's presence and feel worse they truly aren't worth the time. Who you are and how you feel is a little more important than Susie Q's great self.

Sometimes friends can definitely do things that just get under our skin. And being conceited is one that I think does it quickly. You definitely need to sit down and talk to this friend. If he/she is a close friend, you REALLY should. You never want to lose a friend-- especially a close one. It might be hard but its either sit down and have a calm conversation, or sooner or later, it can likely escalate into a full-blown fight between the two of you.

Friendship means that you tell them good with the bad. A true friend will not allow you to make a complete fool. yes I probably would.

They have low self esteem...but I would have to love 'em anyway. Now, if she said and did things to hurt me, I'd tell her, but still love 'em anyway.
