Arranged marriages are not entirely as bad an idea as made out to be in modern western society...
When done properly and with the final unpressured approval of both marriage partners, they can be a good idea and result in a good union...

I would be opposed to an arranged marriage, because you might not know what youre getting into. I wouldnt be opposed to an introduction, as long as I had the right to turn down the person. That can't really hurt, right?

My parents met through an arranged introduction and theyre still going strong after 30 years.

Also, the "in love" feeling is fleeting. It's a really REALLY rare thing that marrying because youre in love will last. Real love, beyond "in love" takes a lot more than that.

I don't think you can call it an arranged marriage. It's more like an arranged meeting... so see if you guys can knock it off. And if all the boys i have picked didnt work out, i'm open for some help from my parents.

No. An arranged marriage where there is no love and you don't know the person is the beginnings of failure.

I married for love and have been married for eleven years.

Arranged marriages only work for people who are opened to them. They probably don't work out when you are forced into one.
Yes I would be open to one, but I am already married.

No, I wouldn't consider it. I would only marry for love, not because someone arranged it for me.

Amazingly almost continuously they do. I certainly have taken many journeys to India and almost all weddings in certainly one of my pals family contributors have been arranged. i think of it extremely is using fact the guy and lady meet at a youthful age so as that they boost and connect with one yet another so whilst they become older they choose for to marry one yet another.
