It doesnt need de-frosting. It is always soaking inside too. It's not a leaky water container and I dont put hot food in it so any ideas what it could be? Its working ok.

At the back of the inside of the fridge is the cooler. At the bottom of this is a V-shaped trough with a hole at the bottom. This will be clogged. Poke a wire or cocktail stick down it and the water will drain the the hot compresseor at the back and evaporate away.

If the puddle is basically in front of the freezer door (assuming it's a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer) than the drain tube is probably blocked. This is a small tube which is in the bottom of your freezer, near the rear. It drains water from the freezer to that plastic tray, which is underneath it, during the defrost cycle. This is how your freezer maintains being "frost free". When this drain becomes blocked water seeps across the floor of the freezer and refreezes forming a layer of ice. However, there is a heating element inside the frame of the door which prevents the door from freezing shut so when the ice makes it's way to the door it is melted and seeps past the door seal forming a puddle on the floor. You can usually clear a blockage with some hot water and a turkey baster. Simply squirt some hot water through the tube from the top and see if it comes through to the pan below.

If the fridge is self defrosting, the melted ice runs out the back of the fridge onto the compressor. The compressor is hot and the water evapourates off. However, sometines the drain tube for this water blocks and the water can reach the floor from the front of the fridge.

Perhaps a seal is broken, if you are sure its not the defrost drain bloacked then waer muct be geetting into the unit somehow, it doesn't just appear.

when you say it doesn't need defrosting do you mean its got no visible ice in it ?

Although you disagree I would say the drain for your defrost unit is blocked. you DO need to defrost it and unblock the holes that run from inside the back of the freezer into a container on top of the compressor 'round the back.

Is the fridge freezer near the washing machine or dishwasher. It maybe another appliance as water finds its own level.

If not another appliance then get a new fridge they are just as cheap to buy as they are to repair.

Your condenser or drain could be leaking. You need to get it fixed by a repairman before it gets worst. Your drain hose could be plugged up also
