You should try handing out little halloween toys (spider rings, vampire teeth, etc.) or pencils, yo-yo's, waterguns, bouncy balls, and other stuff like that. Lots of kids have food allergies and sensitivities. That way all the trick or treaters will be able to enjoy their halloween goodies.

I would go with anything that does not have chocolate or no peanuts.. because those are the two most thing kids are alleric to. You can get playdoh which is an alternative to candy. I give out lollipops,gum, and skittles. for the little ones i have safety pops.

I always use those treat size chocs, like mini bags of malteasers of mini mars bars. Throuble is, a lot of the kids are really disappointed, cos they were expecting cash!!!
