Until Friday evening "C.H.U.D" was the scariest film I had seen. I watched "Wilderness" at the weekend, Sean Pertwee gets taken out by a bloke with a crossbow and four rabid alsatians. The rest of the group a taken out in really gruesome ways!! Makes Hostel look like a Kids TV program!

A British film from the eighties called Paperhouse. I've got it on VHS, taped off the telly, and was so scared I decided to tape over it when there was another film on that I wanted to record. A few nights later I set the video timer to record another film (I can't remember what) and put the Paperhouse tape in the video. Something went wrong, and the film didn't tape - I have tried on other occasions to tape over it, but can't. I don't know what happened but I am unable to record over this film! IT IS EVIL!

The older ones like "An American Werewolf in London" or "John Carpenter's The Thing" used to scare me when I was younger, probably because I was younger. I don't scare as easily nowadays, although I did just watch "The Descent" which made me jump a couple of times.

The David Lynch film LOST HIGHWAY is very scary, and it doesn't rely on blood or slasher shock. Watch the party scene when Bill Pullman is on the phone at the party and if you ain't scared then you live a very strange life.

Freaks is very scary, made around the same time as the wizard of Oz, it is a classic, darkly funny, which kinda makes it even more scary
