A lot less than need to be. We as taxpayers are picking up the tab for a bunch of these known killers. An eye for an eye I say. I am estimating about 30-40 per year, but I may be off on that number. Some states don't have a death penalty, but we have enough on death row to make the number grow to at least triple that amount if our legal system would push it. The innocent victims of the murders and killings didn't get a chance for parole or time to sit it out, so why are we pampering our killers and murderers? I say, let's escalate the executions, and get these people put away. We are running out of room in our jails, and it is costing us much more than the authorities want to admit. And yes, I am from Texas and proud of it!

There are stats available at the following site.
And most religions say "Don't Kill"
And most countries with the death penalty have a higher murder rate.
And people reading that will judge me.

Not nearly enough. Theres a backlog on Death Row of inmates that haven't been executed yet. We need to streamline the process and cut out alot of red tape.
