No- I have looked into it recently. Many community colleges have vet assistant certifications that you can get- teaches about the office side and doing basics like weights, temps. As the vet assistant certification program is not yet very widespread, alot of vet practices will train you if they like you, you seem intelligent and friendly, and have a decent grasp of computers. But as the program becomes more widely available, more practices are looking for the cert. So you can get the certification or just look for on the job training.

The good thing about the cert-if you like it, you can turn it into a Veterinary Technology Associates- more money too. You just go back to school and take the more in depth classes and you can become a tech. You then can help with surgeries and the like, and have much more involvement in the medical side of veterinary care.

no i dont think so, otherwise you are going to work as vet assistant in a white house vet.
