Let's say we do leave Iraq and bring everyone home...then what? Iran and Syria are going to move in and turn what is currently a fledgling democracy into another tyrannical terrorist training ground. Contrary to popular liberal belief, leaving Iraq will not suddenly make the terrorists say, "Oh, ok! We quit now...go about your happy lives and we'll never bother you again". They will seek to destroy us whether we are in Iraq or not. The same goes for Afghanistan. These "people", if you can even call them that, are relentless and hateful killing machines. They want nothing more than to see Americans dead. They even kill other Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan, just to make a point (although I can't determine what that point may be).

Do I like war? No. I don't think anyone truly does, but I also don't like the idea of sitting around and waiting for Islamic fanatics to take hold over more and more of the globe.

We are accomplishing good in Iraq, but the liberal media does not want you to know about it. I spend my life around the men and women who serve there, so I get to hear the truth.

There are no guarantees. Then there's the war in Afhganistan, does anybody think that can be won?? The French, Brits, Russians gave up and left, if we stay the course there we are going to be there a long time.

No. We will not be leaving Iraq in your lifetime. We have made such a mess there, you can forget about the days when you never heard of Basra or Mosul. I hate the fact we went there and never supported our invasion of that country, but now that we're there, we're stuck there.

I hope not as a Mother of an Army Officer I would hate to think 2800 soldiers sacrificed their lives for nothing. Cutting & running is not the solution. An easy solution but not neccessarily the right one.

There is no guarantee on anything in life. We can only pray that a majority of those we elect this November will do the job that we send them to do and leave the personal agendas to home.

not really.....if we get a republican that is still using Bush's propaganda they will be there for next several years...but if we get a level head leader that sees the war for what it is.....then our soldiers should be home sooner than later...
