I heard this song on the radio about two years ago and have heard it a couple of times since but never manage to catch the name! It has someone describing how to play cords on a guitar the lyrics are something like this: “first you play an ‘a’ (a guitar is then heard playing a) then a ‘b’ (guitar starts playing ‘a’ then ‘b’)”. This continues and gradually forms a simple but beautiful folky kind of track! It would be great if someone could help!

If it goes like this:

This is basic plucking, or, the Staunton Lick.

Hold down the chord of C, pluck a fretted bass string with the thumb of the right hand.

Now pluck the third, second and first strings altogether with the first, second and third fingers of the right hand.

then it's Lemon Jelly's 'The Staunton lick' off their ky album.

These might not be right, but I guess it's worth a shot:

John Cale - hallelujah or The Who - Gettin In Tune, they're the only ones I can think of that are like that. I know how annoying it is to try and find a song that you heard ages ago and how much you really want to hear it again! Failing that, if you can remember any furthur lyrics, just try typing them into google, it's worked for me a couple of times. Good luck!
