maybe as the best QB who never won a super bowl..... I think Joe Montana has A LOT to say about that.........

Unfortunately, being the most talented QB, does not make a great one. Leading teams to victory through the intagibles, ultimately leading to a Superbowl Champ. Joe Montana may have been the best ever at leading teams to victory, next in line would be Elway, and Tom Brady. The later two possessed better physical skills, but Joe Montana knew how to win games. Having said all that, Doug Williams won a Superbowl and he had a great game....but was he a great QB?.........Nope

Maybe not the best of ALL time. Maybe a Super Bowl ring would help change that. He is one of the more elite QB's of the last 5 or 10 years though.

Yeah he will be, congratulations to all the idiots who just flat out think that all that matters are SB titles. Are you guys retarded? Montana, Elway, Simms, Stabler, McMahon, and Williams by your estimate are all better than Manning. Some of those names half of you dont even know, but since they won a superbowl they are great quarterbacks. You guys are all idiots, and I guess since the guy who is considered to be the best quarter back of all time right now never won one you think he sucks as well. Dan Marino maybe you should go look up some passing records and figure it out.

If his career were to end today? No. But then he has probably at least 4 or 5 more years yet to play so we'll see, he still has a long way to go to even get into the top 10 of all time.

The only way I see that happening is if he were to break the majority of the records held by Marino and win a Super Bowl ring. Granted several Hall of Famers have won more than one, but with all the Records to boot, I think one would be enough for him.

yes

people need to stop looking at SB rings. Can no one get it in their head that TEAMS win them, not individual players? Players can be a big part, but if you can't make it to the big game, or win it, there was something wrong with your team (or the other team was just more of, well, a team than you).

Look at the Bronos game--Peyton all the way. His defense gave up so many points to a crappy offense, yet he was still able to put up 3 TDs againts a D that had only given up 7.3 POINTS before then.

I'm no big fan of peyton, infact I actually like Brady more, but I hate that people use SB rings to define a player.

Yes he will be considered the best of all time, by the time he retires he will own every record a QB can own in the NFL, he should also have at least one Super Bowl to solidify his position. If he doesnt win at least one super bowl he will go into memory as a Dan Marino a shadow in peoples memories of what great quarterbacks are.

stat wise, yes. but until he wins a superbowl, there wil be some who won't even put him in the same league as Tom Brady. However, IMHO, I think he's the best QB commercial pitch man of all time....
