For Christmas I wanted to make for my son a set of building blocks for his to have forever. I am a beginniner to intermediate woodworker and would love to have tips, website, plans that are easy to follow to build a variety of peices. Please help!

I understand you want to build a set for your son, but here is a complete set (50 pieces) for only $9.95. It's got ABCs, 123s, and animal pictures.

The time and effort you will take to create a set for your son (and ultimately grandchildren) would be appreciated, I am sure, but won't it take more time and effort than it's worth?

Then again, you could get the set then use it as examples to create your own. Or, mix-and-match some of the 50-piece set with some you create yourself.
