My computer uses Internet Explorer 7, provided by Yahoo.
Often, when I am viewing a web page with text in it, I want to look for a word or phrase that I know is somewhere in the document I am viewing - but if the document is several pages long it could take ages to look for it.
With IE7, where is the "find" button that I want to use? I know that if I go to Edit, then Find, an empty box is displayed, and I can then put the words I want to find into the empty box. But I can't locate the Edit button.
This is really stupid, of course, but I hope someone can tell me where to find Edit, and put me out of my misery!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks

The menu toolbar is not displayed by default; pressing F10 should bring it up. Press ESC to get rid of it. Go to View>Toolbars and click on menu bar if you want to see it permanently.
Press CTRL+F to bring up the find search box

If you want the menu bar at the top of your browser as it was in IE 6.0, there is a free download here

Erm, I'm not entirely sure how different version 7 is from the version I'm using at the moment, but when I want to find a word on a webpage I just press control (CTRL) and F which brings up a little search box. I think control has a slightly different name if you're using a Mac but it should work the same.
Hope this helps!

Go above to Edit, find.. on this page.

Oh ok, make sure you have all your options available to you. Right click on the toolbar above .. above where the web address is, then click to make sure you have all avail. click customize maybe.
then just under where it says the name of the webpage you are on, you should see File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help.
If not.. try sliding the area where you can see dotted lines.. you can move them left or right.
you can tell it will move by watching your curser when you put it over them lines.

Hope this helped, if not let me know.

The easiest way is to use the keyboard shortcut ctrl and f at the same time.

This works on most Microsoft programs.
