Fried turkey beats the boring oven kind hands down. There should be no argument whatsoever on this subject. LOL

Deep fried turkey is definitely more interesting than oven baked simply because of that very real possibility of fire when a guy lowers a 15 lb turkey into a vat that is filled to the top with boiling oil.

I never had fried turkey, or even heard of it until now, but I'd guess it is good, as are oven baked turkeys. If you aren't worried about the calories got for the fried I say! Enjoy!

Well I like them both! I constantly hear about turkeys being dried out. I think that they are being over cooked. My turkey always turns out moist. I think that some of you out there should try a cooking bag. Not all but some! I also like fried turkey but I don't like it to have to much garlic season on it. Hey what about fried chicken and/ or even roast beef? You can have any kind of meat you like with thanksgiving dinner. Bar-b-que ribs, shrimp...It's your meal it's your choice. Now fish with dressing???I don't see that! (Smile)

There is no question that a fried turkey is best. But it better be from Southwest Louisiana or Southeast Texas. They know how to inject a turkey to make it Ooo Soo Good Shea!

I can't say that I've ever had a fried turkey. But, I'm not a big turkey fan myself. I prefer a honey cooked ham with my dinner. :)

I like both ways. It just depends on how it was seasoned and how long it was cooked. We cook our turkey in the ground in a big fire pit. It's great!! We make a huge fire the night before and put brisket, buffalo, turkey, beans, posole, and whatever else we can think of in the pit and let it cook until the next afternoon.

Being a vegetarian, I don't do any kind of turkey. But yes, I've heard the fried is WAY better. Tender and moist but not greasy.
