Mossflower- Christmas and Easter are celebrating the beginning and dying of Jesus Christ, respectively. There ARE extremely some symbols used on the two holiday journeys that come from pagan holiday journeys, like the very call Easter, yet they do no longer particularly come from pagan holiday journeys. despite the fact that, Mossflower has a element in a manner. Halloween comes from a pagan ritual (unlike Christmas and Easter, this one became particularly a pagan ritual). So i will style of see why some each and every physique is somewhat careful. despite the fact that, i do no longer think of youngsters dressing up in costumes and getting candy from associates is worshipping demons. i actually do no longer see a super handle it. Moss- i've got heard that Jesus became probable born interior the spring previously, and that became from a difficult-line Christian. that would not replace the holiday itself, merely shows somebody some time past interior the previous have been given the time incorrect. i've got heard of the 2d you suggested. particular, they're Christian holiday journeys. Easter a minimum of is very close to the time of year. in keeping with possibility they happen on a similar time as those holiday journeys, yet they're in fact Christian celebrations. They take extremely some the customs from the different holiday journeys, like I stated.

I don't feel that Halloween is an anti-Christian "holiday." In my family, Halloween was never a big deal, but it was a chance for my sister and I to dress up, act goofy, and get free candy. I've never viewed it as a satanistic day, and I will make sure that my children don't view it that either.

No....I'm a christian, a mother and a grandmother. Halloween really doesnt have anything to do with your religion or it shouldnt anyway. With my children, after I took them trick-or-treating (which isn't bad by the way) and we got back home. We then talked about all our loved ones that we had lost. We gave thanks for their memories and the time we had with them. Why does it have to be considered a bad holiday? Day of the dead can be for remembrance not about evil.
Sorry you feel the way you do about it.

It does have it's roots in paganism, but for small kids it's about cute costumes and candy. My kid's school lets them dress up, but my kids stay home from school and don't go trick or treating. It's a hard decision to make. I try to make it up to them by taking them out and buying them candy.
