I know that when you're breasfeeding, hearing a baby cry can cause you to produce milk...just wondering if the same applies for Braxton Hicks contractions.

Most definatly. When you are pregnant you are very sensitive to any stimulation. A baby crying, holding a baby, seeing a baby, during and soon after delivery your body is very responsive and these things can trigger contractions, and milk dropping after you give birth. That shows you how in tune a woman is,its amazing.

I am not sure if it has been medically proven...but just yesterday, I was holding a friend of mine's 6 week old baby and I had a BH contraction almost immediately and then continued to have three more within the next couple of hours. Then last night and today...I am fine. And before yesterday, I had only had them three times and it was over a couple of weeks time. I am 30 weeks, and this is my third pregnancy. I never had any braxton hicks with my first two.

i'm in basic terms in basic terms now into my 2d trimester with my 0.33 new child yet I remember vividly what you're describing. once you're that some distance alongside there is no longer plenty extra area in there on your toddler to squirm so he does get a stable push on your tummy, now and lower back making it very complicated-such as what your abdomen looks like with a braxton hick contraction. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, as quickly as you adventure genuine contractions you will understand what became what! you're getting on the brink of your due date!! Congrats on the toddler and stable success with labor and transport!
