1) HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is the language used for creating web pages.
2) In order for other people to see you resume, you will need to publish it somewhere. You can use Geocities because it is free, especially considering that you already have a Yahoo account, creating a Geocities page shouldn't take too much longer.
3) By saving a file in HTML format, sometimes, the editing tool may put in some weird HTML tags that are either not necessary or inappropriate. So, when you open the HTML version of your resume, things may appear a bit weird.
4) If you don't publish your resume anywhere, unless someone actually hacked into your computer, nobody can see your resume.

HTML = HyperText Markup Language
HTML defines the structure and layout of a Web document by using a variety of tags and attributes. The correct structure for an HTML document starts with
(enter here what document is about) and ends with . All the information you'd like to include in your Web page fits in between the and tags.
There are hundreds of other tags used to format and layout the information in a Web page. Tags are also used to specify hypertext links. These allow Web developers to direct users to other Web pages with only a click of the mouse on either an image or word(s).

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup language. It is the language used to write web pages on the Internet. Saving it as HTML means that if you upload this page on the internet, it will be visible. Just saving it as HTML and not uploading it to the internet wont make any difference. Cannot be viewed on the Internet without uploading.

In computing, HyperTeXt Markup LanGuage (HTML) is a predominant markup language for the creation of web pages. It provides a means to describe the structure of text-based information in a document — by denoting certain text as headings, paragraphs, lists, and so on — and to supplement that text with interactive forms, embedded images, and other objects. HTML can also describe, to some degree, the appearance and semantics of a document, and can provide additional cues, such as embedded scripting language code, that can affect the behavior of web browsers and other HTML processors.
HTML is also often used to refer to content of the MIME type text/html or even more broadly as a generic term for HTML whether in its XML descended form (such as XHTML 1.0 and later) or its form descended directly from SGML (such as HTML 4.01 and earlier).
