I want to learn to weld to allow myself to fabricate car panels. I already have a good idea of car bodywork, general metalwork and science (to a-level). Where can I take an evening/weekend welding class?

Try logging on to www.twi.co.uk .This is the website of the Welding Institute.Plenty of info here. Also try your local Library. They have loads of info on evening classes in Sheffield and surrounding area.Let me be the first to wish you good luck mate. And well done on having the sense to study a science subject.Opens loads of doors for anyone with the willingness to learn. All the best !!

It can not be difficult, Sheffield is a steel town , try your local schools or directories, there are bound to be night classes somewhere.
