I give tips to the person I am dining with whenever needed! LOL
I give 15% or approximately 1$ to every 7 (if your not good at math) if the service is good. If not, I tip lightly.
I give tips to management/staff on how to make the service better, if it is in complete disarray!
That's it,
mandy

Usually just round up to the nearest note value.
Of course if that's very small I'll add an extra couple of quid.
If i get good service I may then add a bit more, if poor service then I leave nothing (and may even want to see the manager to try to get the bill reduced.
HOWEVER
If the bill has service charge already added then they get nothing no matter how good the service was

The tip equals the tax times 2. For instance if the tax on your meal is $2.45, leave a tip for $4.90 or $5 even.

It depends. 15% is expected. We may leave 15 - 20% if the service is good. If the service is poor, we leave less and make it clear that there were too many problems.

That depends on the service we recieve. We had my daughters bithday dinner at La Fiesta last Wednesday. The waiter was friendly, prompt, kept all the drinks filled, made sure our food was hot when we recieved it. There were six of us at the table. He recieved a $24.00 tip.
