Trazondone is an anti-depressant that address anxiety issues and depression, and can be used as a sleep aid, but it is not a sleeping pill. You will have to outweigh the benefits of giving the drug to your child against the type/s of problems she is having.

I don't know if it is unusual or abnormal, but any sleeping aid or pills can damage anyone, and the younger they are the more likely they are of getting ill or having problems, just make sure your child doesn't have too much of it. You should ask a doctor really though and try to find more natural sleeping aids, like drinks with milk..not coffee because of caffeine. Maybe he/se can read a bit each night, that makes the eyes very tired.
