When I applied for this position (sent in my resume) I was not going back to school. I started shortly before I was called for my first interview. I have an AAS Degree and am pursuing a BS Degree. The classes can all be taken in the evening or online and would not effect my ability to do this position. I have my second interview tomorrow. If I mention I am going to school they might not hire me as they may assume I will leave shortly after obtaining my degree. I don't have any exact plans for when I graduate and if I have a good job, I may stay right where I am at. What should I do - tell them or not?

Because of my inability to relocate, I would not qualify for advancement with this particular business. This position would be the highest I could obtain with or without a B.S. Degree.

Only give information relevent to the position you are applying for. If the courses will improve your ability to perform the job tasks then by all means expand on it. If not you probably had the right idea to keep it to your self.

Inform the interviewer, that you are taking the courses, in order to become a better employee. You can also give him an approximate time frame as to when you anticipate completing and receiving your degree.

Yes, you should disclose going back to school. You never want to start off a relationship with a lie. It is better to not get hired than to get hired off of a white lie.

That would be a point in your favor. Tell them that you are continuing your education so that you can do the best job you can. Tell that you hope it will help you advance in the company.
