It won't end. Our young men and women have been placed in danger for political agendas.

Once upon a time we entered into this conflict because we were hunting people who had caused us harm and were a clear and present danger to the safety of American Citizens. Now what are we doing? The Comander in Chief is "not satisfied" with the progress in Iraq...(Wait a second --I thought the people who attacked us were in Afganastan. Are we still there too? I don't know. we don't here about that too much. it gets buried in the news).

Pardon the digression: As long as our country acts as the Policemen on the world of course people are going to threaten and attack us. Our Government is rittled with corruption and shady deals --I would be indignant too if I were harrased by a cop who I knew didn't even follow the very law he was enforcing. It is hypocritical and it is getting our brave young men and women killed. It is a shame.

Our country has great power. We do have the responsibility to protect those who wish to do evil to others. We need to get involved when atrocities are ravaging people who cannot protect themselves. Yet, I can't figure this out...Iraq --where the oil is...is having, now that Saddam is gone, a civil war (that we stirred up)...That now is not our real business...except of course the oil...we have to keep G.W. and his clan in the oil business, but places like the Suddan and Darfuhr, where millions are being ravage and Murderd by their government...hmmm what do we do there? You have a maniac siting on nuclear weapons...we blink loudly and shake or fingers at him. We have gangs rading our streets and recruiting our youth right here in America. You have millions starving right here in America...but we are where the oil is picking fights and calling it a war of terror...who is terrorizing whom?

I am so frustrated with the these politicians squacking about "American Values" but when it comes down to it...there is no real value. American political philosophy is: Make it sound good, quiet the public with platitude and rhetoric, make it look good on paper, make nice with the people who have money and you can do WHATEVER you want...and if you get caught --blame someone else.

We need to change and, as citizens, we really need to become more educated about our governments doings, get more proactive at the polls and hold our leaders to the grind-stone...if we don't I think we, as a nation, are heading for dark times.

Here's my solution. So many are saying we are over there just to steal their oil and to Americanize the region. It needs to be made clear that is NOT the case. We are there trying to help.

The Iraqis have an elected government. Our government says put this before your parliment. Yes or no-- Do you want the US military in your country. If you don't we are out there ASAP.

If the majority says no, we start pulling all of our troops out ASAP.

If the majority says Yes. The Iraqi government has to go before Allah and everyone else and state publicaly that they really want us there. If they don't we are out of there ASAP.

If the publically state they want us there then THEY have to say when they want us to leave. Remember we do have patience but it's not unlimited. And we don't want to be there forever. In fact we want to be out of there ASAP.

I'll grant you there are probably better ways this could be handled. But considering the mindset in that country and the surrounding area you can't leave much room for flip flopping or manuvering room on the position taken. That doesn't just apply to the Iraqi government but ours as well.

Have a lot more balls as a nation: the generation that lead to the evacuation of Vietnam had: Stand up together & tell the white house that enough is enough. Who the heck cares about Iraq anyway?
Be strong & close your boarders to all that would harm your country: Stop the immegration that's lead to where you are as a nation today.

Our government doesn't have a magic wand. We can only rely on the officials that we've elected to do the right thing. The slogan reads,"Freedom is Not Free". No rational person likes war. So, we shouldn't expect miracles.

The best scenario would be to evacuate all our troops, then launch a couple of nukes to obliterate the country.
