We have 2 kids and he is totally irresponsible. He has finally gotten a good full time job, but as soon as the probation period was done he began to take off 2-3 days per week, mind you he is the only one working because he told me to finish school. I graduate from college in spring 2007 and worked full time while attending until he got this job 4 months ago. I now have to go back to work full time because we are deep in a hole from his irresponsibleness. He won't pay to get either of our cars fixed, but he has an xbox 360 w/ 3 $70 games. I have landed a job that starts on Nov. 13th and plan to get my van fixed and accumulate a few things and move to my mom's until I can get my own place. What do you guys think. I love him, but I am so tired of waiting for him to become a man. Oh yeah, I also had to cut the grass yesturday while he played xbox w/ a friend. It needed to be done for over a month but he's so lazy i had to do it. Help, I've gotten the info about legally getting seperated.

Have you have a serious talk with him? Not really sure how old is he.

I dont suggest you leave him even though you may think that is a solution.

hi there. i would never tell anyone yes leave your husband.... but in your case..i am sorry, yes i think you should. this is just an opinion, but, i think everyone deserves better in life . and you definately sound like youre a good person, and you deserve to meet someone new, someone fun who is hardworking and who will love your kids like you do. someone who will take care of you and probably pick up yuour slack every once in a while. believe me, there are still many guys like that.
if you encountered a younger version of youserlf, say 15 years ago or 20, what do yuou think you would tell yourself?
i hope things work out for you. be strong.

if you are even thinking about leaving your husband, then you should probably leave leave your husband.being in debt because your husband is just lazy is the worst thing i've ever heard in my life! it seems that you have 3 kids instead of just 2. as for your kids,as long as they know that they are loved,i'm sure they'll be fine. you seem to be getting yourself together, and that is great! but you're never going to get anywhere with him dragging you down.

Maybe if you leave him, he will smarten up. He is just being lazy and irresponsible. It's a shame that you would have to go that far, but you now have to think of you and the children.

instead of doing something so drastic , go visit mom 1st , don't tell your husband your leaving , surprise him , maybe the spook will wake him up , its going to be really hard on the kids if you do something permanent

Get out! Raise your standards, and let your kids see that its not OK to act that way.
