Raid 0 = single disk with no redundancy
Raid 1 = Mirror'd disks (2 disks)
Raid 5 = Striped (at least 3 disks, but can be any number above)
Raid 1+0 (or Raid 10) = Striped and Mirrored. At least 4 disks, then need to add 2 every time. Basically this mirrors a pair then stripes across the mirrors

Minimum of 3 for RAID-5

Minimum number of drives is 2 for raid 0 and at least 3 drives for raid 5. Please note that there is no protection if you use raid 0
