About 2 wks ago, I saw what appeared to be a lot of discharge - clear, snot-like - but there was no blood that I saw. Is there always blood when you pass your mucus plug? Since that point, I didn't really have much discharge - until yesterday (exactly 36 wks) where I had a little bit of discharge which appeared to be more of a very light brown (like it could've mixed with a little bit of blood). I go into for my next appt tomorrow. I was just curious what some others experiences were.

Sounds like the mucus plug to me. It may not have completly come out the first time, and what you saw the other day was the rest. It can be brownish in color, you need to remember that every woman is different. Let your Doc know about both times. Good luck , it sounds like things are begining to happen!!

I lost my mucus plug one week before I had my daughter. My doctor "thinned my membranes" to help me lose it. He also told me that having sex and walking would help me go into labor. He said it is a proven fact that sperm thins the membranes on your cervix , and my daughter is living proof that it works. Wednesday afternoon my husband and I walked for about a mile and then we went home and had sex, no I really didn't want to but I was ready to have my baby. The very next day at 1:00 my water broke. I hope this helped good luck with the baby!!!

Definitely bring it up to your doctor when you go. It sounds like you lost it though. I had that happen around my 36-37 weeks too. I was told that my husband couldn't ejaculate inside any more and no more tub baths because the risk of infection. But ask your doctor. They can give you better advice. Congrats on the baby!!

(I had the baby at 40 weeks. I didn't go into labor when I lost the plug. She was born the day before my due date.)

It's very possible. Make sure you explain all of this to your doctor. Good luck.
