Why do people hurt us even when we do not ever hurt others?

At the risk of sounding corny, life was never promised to be filled with true happiness. Because of the choice we all have to do either good or bad to others, we often face the worse of the two due to the individuality of everyone. Some people find it easier to hurt than to care and often this is due to a need to protect oneself. We all have skeletons in our closet and anyone who says otherwise is lying. We hide our true selves in many ways for fear of being 'found out' and will often push others away hurtfully to accomplish this. But if we were able to see through everyone we meet, we would find very similar fears and problems. We are all afraid of something and I think our greatest fear is to be ridiculed and rejected. Being honest is much easier when we know who we can safely be honest with but being honest even when the response is very negative shows integrity and does indeed border on righteousness. By the way, righteousness does not mean perfection. You make mistakes too. Forgiveness (another tough one to perfect) is the best course in my opinion. It always works for me.

Pain is a part of life. Without pain, you won't be able to know the value of happiness. But take courage, it will not be always dark...day always follow night..So you are in the dark right now, but in the end, day will follow. .so be courageous and endure. Nothing happens without a reason. Look at these trials and unhappiness as a challenge for you to develop resiliency and strength of character.

People hurt us because we let them hurt us.
People will treat you how you allow them to treat you. If you let people hurt you, they will. If you go around proclaiming that you are honest and righteous, then people will go out of their way to try to knock you down.
When people try to hurt you, don't let them. I'm not saying to go out and get revenge but stand your ground. It's good to be honest and righteous, but show others that you by acting the part. Actions do speak louder than words. If you act too righteous, people may see you as self-righteous, which will also make you a target for ridicule.

See ur honest .that itself is enough to keep u satisfied.In this world atmost satisfaction is attained only in honesty.
So,if other people are hurting u it is there fate that they are loosing good honest friend like u.They must feel bad and not u.ok.

good question. I have been hurt by people too and done nothing to them but be nice. it is a diffulcult world at times. the world is hard to understand. there are good people out there and I hope you find some. you deserve happiness. good luck.

Life...it kicks you when your down. I think its all in how you deal with it, Kick it back! Be happy, if you are happy, you will be able to laugh at the hurt and the cruel people that hurt you that probably don't deserve you in their lives to begin with. Smile, its contagious, GOD BLESS!

Don't forget about Karma - what goes around comes around. I get the biggest kick when I'm driving and someone cuts me off - only for them to be cut off by someone else. I actually start cheering in my car and clapping my hands. So don't feel bad - Karma ALWAYS kicks butt. :)

Bro, I have the same problem..........Im beginning to think I am destined to eternal suffering!!! I am good 2 ppl, I get crapped on, I try to be honest, I get ridiculed for it !!!
I think only the liars, cheaters and losers prosper.................BUT, Im ok with it as I cannot and will not sell out !!

Bad things always happen to good people. It sucks but that's life, part of growing up and becoming who you are meant to be.
