Porsche or Lotus, the Porsche because they are the only super car reliable enough to drive on a daily basis. Lotus 'cos they understand that a sports car is about being lightweight and using modest power to it's best effect.

My Lotus Esprit Turbo (94). Here's why...

Its more reliable than my girlfriends 2005 BMW 320. She's been back to the garage countless times.

Its very quick considering the power output (only 264bhp).

Its British!

It looks absolutely stunning! You don't need to be driving out of the sea to get the attention of onlookers. You will, however, feel like 007. It turns you into a superstar!

The drive quality is amazing for such an old car and the cost of buying is suprisingly cheap. If I change it for anything else it'll be a V8 Esprit.

Porsches are everywhere: believe me the looks on the their owners faces tells you your driving something special.

On top of that - everytime I drive it - I've got a hoooge grin on my face.

Does the Mazda RX8 count? It has rear passenger seats, so I don't know if it counts as a sports cars from a purists point of view. It is amazingly designed with its sport looks, its wheel arches, mini grills behind the wheel arches, lights, exhaust, suicide doors, and of course, it's renowned side mounted 1.3 litre wankel engine, giving it comparatively large power in excess of it's engine capacity. I also love the Mazda badge, I would say it more than any other badge, including Mercedes or any other badge.

I also like the Honda NSX, the Honda Dualnote, the Nissan Z and the Nissan Skyline.

Probably right now it is the Corvette Z06. It has a lot of the same technology that goes into cars that cost well over the hundred thousand dollar mark yet it is priced considerably cheaper at around $70,000. Plus with an all carbon fiber body it has a better horsepower to weight ratio than an Enzo.

Noble, Lancia, Ariel (Atom), Masarati, Jaguar. Noble handles better than anything, its so good I bought one, Lancia are old now but always tend to have real character, Ariel, it's a 4wheeled Superbike only much faster, Masarati-just really nice cars and not like Ferrari or Lambo, its more discreet and charasmatic, And love Jaguar XJR a 380BHP front room!!

I have owned several sports cars and muscle cars, and i am having the most fun in a replica 1952 Jaguar C-type le mans car. it is a fantastic feeling to be slightly out of control, and makes you appriciate when racing drivers were tough
