Look I know that Jews suffered horribly during the second world war but so did other people. There was never any reason for us to start the border drawing that inevitably leads to the hatreds you see now. Putting the Shah in power was our second mistake; Ike did it out of the paranoia about communism in the 50's. Carter also made a mistake in allowing the Shah to seek medical treatment in the U,S.A. after he was overthrown. Why we didn't try to engage Iran and the other arab countries after that mistake is beyond me. Instead of seeking peace we befriended Saddam and then THAT blew up in our face. What a comedy of errors it would be if the result was not the horrific state of affairs we now face.

The big boys like GW senior have been meddling in the middle east for a very long time. They prop up dictators that crush and gas their people, while getting rich on their oil, and then sell them weapons for more money, all while the locals are extremely poor and not at all free. That's how we ruined our relationship with the Arabs.

Remarks to the Bahrain-American Friendship Society, July 14, 2003 by John Duke Anthony

In the interests of time, let me cut to the chase and come to the year 1947 and the basic point. What happened in November 1947? What took place then that, ever since, has caused such an unending river of damage and heartbreak to Arabs, Americans, Israelis, Palestinians, Lebanese, and Syrians, and for the longest time Egyptians, alike? What occurred at that particular moment in time as a result of which the United States and many others are still paying mightily, if unnecessarily, not only monetarily and militarily but morally?

What happened then was that the United Nations General Assembly voted to partition Palestine in a manner that, in the eyes of practically every Palestinian Christian Arab and Muslim thereby victimized, along with all who voted against the resolution, could hardly, by any standard, have been more unjust. In so doing, it acted largely in response to a degree of heavy-handed pressure from the United States.

Blowing up WTC seems to be so affecting the west that it forgets the fact & becomes blind whenever people die in Afganistan, Iraq and Lebanon. 50,000 people died in Lebanon during the recent raid by Israeli armed forces. No one speaks about that.

Mistake lies on the Arab world. Arabs have a long history of weak minded, womanisers and impotents. WEst is related to ARabs in only one term, 'MONEY' . Once the money goes out the Arabs pipeline, I dread to think about the Middle East countries, since they may be worse than African countries.
