You need prayer for this. I had the same problem and I went to a Christian pastor and he prayed over me and I was delivered from nicotene. Praise Jesus.
Or go to www.doersoftheword.org
The pastor there gives free counselling or you can call him for prayer. The phone # are on the site.
I can understand you bc I tried doing it on my own but couldn't.
I pray the Lord leads you to do right for u & baby.

Smoking while pregnant can be harmful. I smoked while I was pregnant with my son who is now 8. He has major allergies and whenever he gets sick, he gets an ear infection. He has had to have tubes put in his ears. Which is a surgery. He was not born premature or underweight, but those are the two main complications from smoking while pregnant. I am 7 months pregnant now and I do smoke. I just can't quit. If you are the same way, at least cut down to 10 or under a day. That can minimize some risk of complications. Talk to your doctor. If you want to quit, they may be able to help you.

It causes low brith weight in babies and can cause premature births. You may also eventually get lung cancer and leave your baby without a mother.. It isn't worth it. Talk to your doctor about quitting. A child living in a smoke filled house also has a higher chance of dying from S.I.D.S. New studies shows it may cuse A.D.D. Both Nicotine and carbon monoxide cross the placenta so your baby IS being exposed to these chemicals. I am glad you are concerned and asking questions. Only you can make the choice to quit. Do it for your baby. Good Luck.

Smoking is not good for your body, but it would be even worse for your baby. It could be born with any number of birth defects depending on the frequency of your smoking. I would hold off on smoking until after the baby is born just to be safe. Don't hurt the baby.

Well every ones diffrent from what I see. Yes smoking while pregnant is very bad and can harm the baby. But I smoked threw all 3 of my pregnancies and they had no birth defects and they are all very smart. The decision is up to you. If you think you have the will power to stop then I would strongly suggest it. I know it's really hard and if you can't, don't listen to anyone if they say stuff like (what your doin is wrong and bad) cause theres alot of ppl who don't know what kinda of stress you go through. Like I said every women handles pregnancy diffrent and every ones life is diffrent. So they have no idea what you go through from day to day to where you may just need that ciggy. to calm you down.
I hope things go good for you. God bless you and your baby.

You would be filling the unborn babies little premature lungs with smoke and likely causing damage, addiction, slowed growth and premature birth. Your addiction to that cig will cause you grief caring for your new baby that might have problems. Give it a rest for at least nine months if not forever, because second-hand smoke does the same thing.

You're inhaling nicotine and more importantly small doses of ARSENIC. Quit while you can. Fact is...I'm surprised any pregnant woman would smoke with morning sickness and all. (I would puke just smelling someone else smoking!) Give it up....you'll be happy in the end :) My daughter smoked and cried her eyes out in the labor room when the monitor showed the baby's heart rate was elevated and the nurse asked her if she smoked a cigarette recently? (She smoked a couple each day) She felt terrible that her baby's heart was racing due to her smoking. She immediately quit and never smoked again.

The baby will suffer the same damage as your lungs and has a huge chance of either dying, or being born with serious medical problems. You would also feel the effects of your baby dying and there is an increased risk of you getting cancer.

Here's a link with some information. It's not good for either one of you and you should really try to quit. Ask your doctor about Zyban (Wellbutrin is the same thing and most drug plans cover it) to help you quit. I know it's a really hard thing to do, I quit using Zyban three and a half years ago. It's the best thing you can do for your baby and for yourself. Good luck!
