He worked on this theory most of his life it would be nice to see it finished.

It was suppose to cover every other theory hence the name Theory of Everything.

But I realize it took science a long time just to understand his other theories it could be impossible to at this point in time to even know where to start.

Has anyone even considered trying to finish it?

Current leading theory of everything is strings theory. Although it didnt exactly pick off where einstein left off, many sees it as having the same dream einstein had, that is to have a theory that explains everything.

But in my honest opinion, I dont think we'll ever find the actual answer, or understand the actual working of the universe.

Science has always been a way we understand how things work, but they isnt necessarily exactly how the universe works. Look at all pass discoveries. Newton discovers gravity, came up with equations that could predict everything from a falling apple to planet motion around the sun. But Einstein came along and proof that Newtow was wrong about gravity being an instantaneous foruce. Instead Einstein sees gravity as curvature of space-time fabric. Now, String theory says that gravity itself is like a particle made up of strings. And all along we have quantum physics, and both quantum physics and relativity theory explains different thing and they dont agree with each other. Logic would tell us how could this two theory be the actual working of our universe when they contradic each other, while a galaxy is made up of small quarks afterall?

IMO, all these theories has been a way of looking at how our universe works, it does so correctly as it predicts the outcome correctly. But they isnt actually how the universe works.

How it works is something we'll never be able to comprehend. Just like how a dolphin is smart enough to be trained to do tricks, or how a dog could lead disable peoples, they cannot do arithmetics no matter how we train them.

In simple words, the workings of the universe will never be understood within our intellect limits.

Well, Einstein sort of fell short after his genius contributions even though he was still looking at defining the theory of everything. He did a great job combining some electromagnetic phenomena with motion and gravity but stopped there. In the early 20th century, a new quantum theory popped up that eventually lead to some serious physics that has unified three forces to date with great accuracy of prediction in some cases. Since the new quantum theory required probabilities and statistics to make things work, Einstein rejected that whole branch of science since he didn't like the uncertainty of the new sciences. He was still well renowned but basically fell out of the mainstream of science by the 1920's.

Many groups are working on unifying all the laws of science but I wouldn't call it finishing up Einstein's work. He just kind of started the ball rolling with some very new and revolutionary thinking but could not adjust to the newer concepts of physics.

Most of the folks involved in superstring theory (look it up in wikipedia (grin)) are trying to do precisely that.

PS It is a never ending source of amazement that there are people who believe that god made the world and yet are smart enough to type.

I examine your submit .. i took it into interest .. i'm no longer knowledgeable in technology and so on basically fascinated in Astronomy .. i didnt do physics or chemistry in college .. so this isn't a biased answer and that i cant supply credible the rationalization why your submit is faulty yet am responsive to the basics... yet when I examine you actuality ..... "even ignore anythin scientists understand if u ought to" ..... i ended interpreting in disbelief. how are you going to ignore actuality eh?? That loopy .. if so there is not any longer such recreation as football ... and the Rugby international cup winners in 2007 were Romania no longer South Africa and they beat eire contained in the ultimate .... Theorys are one aspect ... info are yet another .. get used to it !!!

Einstein had a wonderful proof of the theory of everything, but the margin of his book was too small to write it in.

People have been trying to finish it for decades, and so far have had no more success than Einstein did. It is an extraordinarily difficult problem.
