A fence, like a locked door only keeps honest people out. There are many ways to get in in spite fences, however, there has to be some sort of solution to the problem. It is the same with the passport issue between the U.S. and Canada, it is a huge expense, the cost to a family of four would be ridiculous, and they would have to be renewed every 5 years. It would also cost millions and millions of dollars in lost revenue on both sides of the boarder, and will not solve the problem at all.

Ummm.... They need passports to fly to Canada. Plus they need $500 for a plane ticket to Canada, which if they had they could easily pass off as a "tourist" and actually enter the U.S. legally.

I say fill the Rio Grande with Crocidiles. If no one crosses the border the Crocidiles will starve.

One better way to spend money is to help Mexico do something for it's own people so that they can have a decent life at home. As long as the standard of living in the two countries is so different people will come legal or not.
I tell people to imagine- What if the minimum wage in Canada was $55.00/hr? You'd be packing your long underwear, yes you would.

Years ago they would have built a mote filled with snakes and dragons, but today we are much more sophisticated, if talking or a wall will do no good , next best thing would probably be to, just nuke the bas-----ds.
Maybe not practicable but it could be one of the six billion ways.

I too, find the US obsession with illegal Mexican immigration funny. Watch the Colbert Report, there's a bit of truthiness for you.
