Absolutely not! Here all children have a right to a free public education. My eldest daughter has Downs Syndrome. She went to a public school, did very well thanks to dedicated teachers and support staff. In fact she graduated highschool this past spring! - A lot of so called "normal" kids don't. I do believe that there are some situations that may be best for the child with more one on one teachings. But forcing all of them into "special" schools is wrong on so many levels.

Your question is very offensive. My brother has celebral palsy, ADHD, learning disorders, and seizures. Are you saying that he should be in special school, away from normal kids he can learn from and who can learn from him? I know many kids who have been inspired by the special education program at my brother's school, including one who know is going to become a special education teacher. My brother also loves it when the regular kids come into his class and help him. Getting rid of this social interaction will be damaging. I think you are very wrong about this.

Won't work.....they would be over crowded. Think about it...most all in Washington would be there. Stop a person in NYC and ask for directions and they will say ..I don't know.? Turn on the TV or radio to get the weather...wrong forcast. Go to McDonalds to get a hamburger....you get the picture. Higher Learning today means you can count to 10. Put your shoe on the rigft foot and use a PC

no, that wrong, we do not want to be issolated , and we deserve alot in life and we should be treated right and not made fun of ,joking around about or discriminated against. I have mild mental retardation, so i understand what it like to have my special needs and it toughs but we don't need to be separated from the world. I have deafness, adhd, dyspraxia,SID,ptsd, panic disorder, depression. We deserved to be mainstreamed and be with other kids that are kids with and without disabilities. We don't need to be singled out.
ptsd,panic disorder.
