I am 17 and looking for a freelance writing/photography job. I am flexible with hours and deadlines. Anyone have any ideas?

my suggestion is get anything you can to have income, but find an internship at a local newspaper or just start taking your own pics and writing segments to go with them. then submit them to news papers and magazines...free!... keep a folder of anything that get's published... it will eventually become your portfolio... needed when you start applying for positions... good luck!

Put your resume out on the net.
Use craigslist
Put the word out to all your friends, family, neighbors, etc.
Word of mouth is the best way to find a job in my opinion.
Watch the classifieds both online and in the newspapers.

how about secret consumer? it's where you go around to different shops and you rate their products. you probably wanted a real writing job, call the local newspaper then.

write an article and submit it to the editors of teen magazines. If they like it, they will buy it. If they don't like it, ask for feedback. Then repeat.
