Hi, I don't have this but know that it should not be a problem unless it covers your cervix. Placenta's tend to 'migrate'-move up as the uterus expands. Because your placenta has attached on the anterior it will probably be more difficult to feel your baby move as the placenta wall will block the sensation. I am sure you have nothing to worry about-congratulations on your pregnancy

hello, my sister had this problem when she was pregnant with her 2nd child. the big issue was that she needed bedrest so that the placenta would not slide down close the vaginal opening which would create a problem to where the placenta would come out first instead of the baby. when the placenta is on the posterior wall there is less chance of the placenta being delivered first as opposed to being on the anterior wall which creates the risk of having the placenta come before the baby. which of course becomes life threatening. my sister ended up having a c-section to keep this from happening. she could have avoided this if she would of listened to the doctor and stayed on bedrest. gravity, movement and growth caused the placenta to move.

Hi, I have not heard of problems with the placement of the placenta on the anterior wall . However if the placenta is covering the cervix, { the birth canal] that is very dangerous and would need a c-section to prevent complications.

Yes I am 19 weeks pregnant and I found out last week. I go for an ultrasound Thursday. I have talked to a RN that works for the local hospital in the womens dept. She says that as long as it moves up with the uterus and doesn't cover your cervix then everything should be just fine. Bedrest my be an issue later in the pregnancy though. I feaked out when they told me about my placenta at the doc. I ve asked similar questions and researched it a bit too. Good Luck.

It means that your placenta is attached to the front of your uterus. My first baby's placenta was in the same place. I had no problems because of it. My doctor even said when he noted the placement of the placenta that it was in a good spot...the upper, front part of my uterus.
