There is nothing in your life that you cannot change. Yes it takes effort. Yes it takes courage. But suicide is NOT the answer. Just make the point of looking in the mirror and telling yourself I can do this. I do need help though. Admitting that you do need help is a start. And start by telling one person, even if you have to pay for it....I suggest a psychotherapist. If you cannot afford it, try your local city/county social services. This is what we hard working people pay for in out taxes, for help to come to those who seriously need it. I'm not complaining, I don't mind, except when people abuse the system. My partner is going through some tough physical and mental times and has relied on these services. Search it out. They will help you as much as they can and or/steer you in the right direction. Good luck.

You should stay strong, and remember that you arent alone. There are people all over the world going through the exact same thing as you, sitting in their rooms alone, thinking that they are the only person with this issue hanging on them. Do you have anyone to talk to about it?? A friend, relative, colleague??
I think you should go on the web and look for a support group to call or email, they will be able to advise on the best advised next step; whether it is to live in the other sex's identity for a while, before you even consider permanant changes.

your pain is quite evident and I feel quite helpless in trying to be of any real use. I tried to look up on this ,as it is something which affects many people and it is always good to try and understand where someone is coming from, instead of instantly dismissing them.
you obviously know that it is a majpr decision which you need to make, and probably the only ones to help you are those that have gone through it or who help you through it.

i found a few websites which may be a starting point . http://groups.yahoo.com/group/transsexual_uk/adviceandsupport

by exploring all the ins and outs with those in the know ,will help you make decisions . you are not alone, and if your friends are not able to support you, it may be time to make new friends . it is your life and no-one else can live it for you. best wishes .

There is already a lot of good advice in the answers given above. No need to repeat what's been said. Please take notice that even strangers can recognize the predicament in which you find yourself and lend a helping hand. Your true friends will as well. Those "friends" who do not are not "true friends" and you are better off without them. Why would you want to commit suicide other than that you believe there is no help, no solution to your problems? Trust that there is. Read the answer hushnowju... gave above again. Then go for it! Good luck to you.

There are resources to help you if that's what you want, but they can't help you if you don't let them know you want help. That applies not only to transexuals, but anyone. If you need help you have to ask.

You apparenly have access to a computer and I'm sure you've researched everything on transexuals. Get in touch with someone in the medical field that can guide you on what you need to do.

You are NOT alone. You are NOT the first. You can be happy, but you have to reach out your hand in order for someone to pull you up.

Get going...! Now.

The first thing you need to do is discuss it with your GP. SERIOUSLY. They are the people who can point you in the right direction. If your GP won't take you seriously, get a second opinion. Keep at it until someone listens as you are obviously in a lot of distress. Good luck.
