Yes upgrading your ram will most likely improve the performance of your computer IF you have less than 1GB already. If you have more and you do graphic intensive editing then more memory would be better.
As you run out of ram when using your computer, the computer starts using the hard drive as tempory memory (known as virtual memory) by moving the info from some of your real memory to hard drive to free up real memory. The computer may ask you to increase virtual memory if you don't have enough allocated.
This is very slow and if your hard drive is nearly full will most likey contribute to the slowness aswell.

Yes upgrading your RAM will help improve the speed of your PC but only if the Motherboard is compatible. Unless you know what you are doing I would recommend taking your PC to a shop for upgrade.

Hey,
RAM in a computer is considered main memory. It’s the working area used for loading, displaying and manipulating applications and data. You personal computers have slots for adding and replacing memory sticks. It can help!!!
To check how much RAM on your PC right click “My Computer” and choose properties.
1024 Mo of RAM is suitable for a home PC.

Ram is a cheap affordable way of increasing system speed.

A 1gig stick costs roughly about 80 quid (depending on what type of ram it is, sims, nimms, dims, ddr, ddr2 etc etc etc...)

Easily installed (most computer places dont charge much over a tenner for it if you cant fit it yourself.

Easy as pie

You need to find out what kind of RAM your motherboard uses. Then you need to go buy the RAM. Then you can go home and RAM your motherboard to your heart's content.
