Yes, especially if it's a very close game or overtime. It's entirely possible they would still be considered the 2 best teams in the country.

Possible but not probable. It would have to be a one point Michigan loss on a field goal at the last minute. OSU losing at home even by one or two points would take them out. Plus there are four or five undefeated teams still out there in BCS conferences. If the BCS tried something like that it would destroy the system, finally.
Oh, OSU and Michigan have 3 games left each I think. The one thing I one sure thing about the BIG TelEviN is that there are no sure things.

Not likely if there is still an unbeaten team from the Big East like WVa hanging in at the 3 spot. The voters in the human polls know that most people dont want to see a rematch for the title game, and neither do they. If those are the only two unbeaten teams remaining, not counting boise state, then the one loss winner of the SEC would probably get the nod.

I doubt it for one simple reason. The polls count for 2/3rds for the points and the voters will move the loser down if for no other reason than to have a championship game between two teams that didn't just play each other. My guess is WVU has the inside track if they win out. If they don't and Louisville also loses it will be interesting to see which 1 loss team gets the nod.

regrettably, USC is limited to enjoying huge 10 opponent, Penn State. the suitable Pacific 10 team might desire to play the suitable huge 10 team, except the two of them are in the BCS Championship activity; under which situations the subsequent terrific team in the league performs. that's via settlement, and is between the justifications why there is no playoff device; the Rose Bowl would not desire to lose the gross sales from this consistently-time-honored activity.

The only way it happens is if Ohio St. loses to Michigan. I think if Michigan loses they drop to far. I'm afraid that what we probably get is the Big East winner, if they stay undefeated, and the winner of the OSU/Mich. game. The Big East winner has no business being in the BCS Championship game. What I hope is that it comes down to the OSU/Mich winner and a bunch of 1 loss teams. Then we get to see how screwed up this system really is.

If it's a close game, it is apparently quite possible. I think more so if Ohio State loses, but the people at ESPN seem to think that the loser of a close game could slip into the title game.

Possible but not likely.
The three possible scenarios
If West Virginia remains unbeaten I think they will play for the national championship against the winner of the game (OSU vs. UM)
If USC wins all of its remaining games, they will be the highest ranked team with one loss (strength of schedule) and they will play
If Notre Dame wins all of its remaining games (which means they win against USC) they will be ranked second and play for the championship

Ain't going to happen.
The winner of that game will be the favorite in the BCS Champ game. Loser will play in Orange Bowl against WVA.
