Undisputedly, its Miele. I work in kitchen appliances and they are without a doubt the best made machines on the market. German made, expensive but last three times longer than most other brands. Cast iron interiors where every other brand uses concrete which cracks and vibrates after prolonged use. Drum, bearings, axle and springs all covered for ten years on every model. Most come with 5 or 10 year guarantees too!
American brands such as Maytag are well made but not usually very energy efficient so watch you don't lose all the benefits of better results by paying through the nose on your electricity bills!

I was going through washing machines at the rate of one per year when the kids were little. I stoped buying front loaders and brought n LG top loader. Best thing I ever did - takes a 10kg load - washes brilliantly, has no element to burn out coz it fills from hot and cold. Been going now for 8 years solid and no problems. Go for a top loader xx

when we replaced our kitchen 2 years ago they had an offer on a Bosch washing machine - I wouldnt have paid the money they normally want for them. But, I must say it's the best machine I've ever had, really good on low temperature etc., etc., and backs up the saying 'you get what you pay for'.

I must be getting old answering questions like this!

I have the Maytag Neptune front loading washer and dryer set.

I love it! It cuts down on the amount of laundry you do because the tub is so big, you can do bigger loads.

A Maytag front loader. It will save you money on water, electricity, detergent, and wear and tear on your clothes.
