You need to drink water, lots of it too, your pee should only be bright yellow first thing in the morning and be the colour of light straw by the time you go to bed, water helps to flush the body of toxins as well as the kidneys too, if you can't tolerate too much water then put cranberry dilute juice with it as that is great for the waterworks and will flush your kidneys big time, if your really worried you should go to the doctors especially if it has a pong to it, good luck.

You are not drinking enough water so your kidneys are not being flushed out properly. This over the years could result in kidney stones which are very very painful.
Don't drink only when thirsty as by then you are too late.
Drink water little and often in addition to your tea and coffee etc.
Tea, coffee and alcohol are diuretics which purge the water from your body and this needs to be made up.
Your pee should be straw coloured so get drinking and you will change it from bright yellow.

Bright yellow urine can be the result of a few things. (1) Eating certain foods (e.g. asparagus). (2) Certain vitamins (usually 'B' vitamins) and medications (e.g. for UTIs) can also cause discoloured urine. However, (3) the most common cause would simply be not drinking enough water. Healthy urine should actually be clear, and it becomes darker the more dehydrated the person is. So, make sure you're drinking a lot of water- preferably 6 8oz glasses per day and hopefully your urine should get lighter.

This could mean three things:
1) you are using vitamin pills or something like lemon-sip-for flu, and due to that your urine is yellow.
2) you have liver problems, look at the white of your eyes and if that is slightly yellow as well, then you have to go to doctor asap
3) your daily water consumption is not enough, if your urine has a strong smell- then it is definitely because you don't drink enough water.
Good Luck

Bright yellow pee often means that you've taken in all the Vitamin C that your body can handle for the time being, and the excess is being excreted in your urine.
