To make the best out of the Indian Team, the following should be done.

1. Stop experimenting a lot. It clicked when the pitches were flat. But, it doesn't happen all the time.

2. To the best of my knowledge, our team should comprise the following players.
1 & 2 - You need Sehwag & Sachin at the top. [Remember in WI, pitches don't seam they are slow]
3 - You need a seasoned & wristy player for the slow pitches. So my vote will be for VVS.
4 - You can have Dravid
5 - Yuvraj
6 - If Ganguly can return this would be the best slot because, he is a natural shot maker than slogger.
7 - MS Dhoni (or) D. Karthick. Karthick is a wristy & a strokeful player than Dhoni. My vote goes to him.
8 - Ajit Agarkar
9 - Harbhajan
10 - Kumble
11 - L. Balaji

We can have VRV singh, Munaf, Mongia, Kaif in the squad. Ganguly can do a lot of medium pace bowling & that helps on a slow wicket. If either spinners or pacers go for runs, we have Sachin, Sehwag, Yuvraj & Mongia to do the slow turners.

The first thing need to be done is, we should stop him praising a team member as a Hero.

If any player is failing for more than 3-4 matches, he should not be in the list. He must replaced by another guy.

We need to improve the team play. Every body thinks he can do on his own. He is the only person making the team win.

A player is one who is ready to play at any situation.

Is Sehwag can play only at opening place?
If so why, who made him to stick to the first place.

How many failures he is having at the opening place?

Every player want to be hero. Want all the advertisements more than cricket.

Where is the responsible play. How many repeated failures a batsman doing?

Are they practicing to over come them? If so, where is the result.


The way we can only improve performance if they work as team and responsible. Till the time they don't feel resposible, no one can't do anything.

That can be Greg Chappel or some others...

1. bring back sourav ganguly as the captain. india does need his experience and aggressiveness in handling the team and the pressure associated with the job. he is indias most successful captain after all.
2. rahul dravid can then concentrate with batting. he is indias most reliable batsman in recent time. and captaincy seems to have taken a toll on his batting.
3. irfan pathan should stop batting at number 3. he can be more useful down the order. let him fully concentrate on his bowling.
4. greg chappel should stop experimenting so much now. let there be some stability in the team . the batting line up seems just too chaotic.
5. bring back kaif instead of suresh raina. kaif is the best runner and more experienced than raina. his fielding is as good if not better than raina.
6. kumble should be brought back in the team. he seems the best bet now. especially after the lack of form demonstrated by the other bowlers. zaheer could also be given a try. he has been performing well in county cricket.
7. virendra sehwag should be explained by the team management that he should start being a bit more accountable and stop playing such risky shots under the guise of his " natural game".

Very simple. Don't play for yourself. Play for the country. Win matters here, not individuals. Our guys think that their job is over if they score 50 or 100 runs. Take the II ODI. We were in so comfortable position. Ganguly had his 50 so as Tendulkar. After that?. Tendulkar meddled a stupid ball and Ganguly chased a wide ball. Why?. Now everyone says Tendulkar is back to form and Ganguly is going great guns. We could have won that match if these guys didn't go for those cheap shots. Everyone is bolstering Ganguly and Tendulkar for their performances. But I would say they were responsible for India to lose. They lack persistence. They have to finish the match. Unless India wins, there is no meaning for their personal records.

the first most important thing that we must do is to remove greg chappel as a coach cuz he made our players insecure to win even a single match!!
their performance increased for a month and now he has brought the team into such a condition that the players don't feel that they are competent for winning the match and also they have lost the self respect they had when DADA(sourav ganguly)was the captain of the indian cricket team.

First and foremost thing is to change the attitude and complacency of the players and make them to play with
self-restraing, motivation, fighting spirit and determination to win. Once players follow these yardsticks, you can expect lot of improvement in the Indian Cricket.

Batsmen should be taught to how in different situation of the game whether to play defensively or attacking depending upon the situation of the match, bowlers should be taught to bowl accurately with perfect line and length. All fielders should be
given enough catching practice and how to prevent runs in the
field.

Generally all the players should be taught how to play in pressure situation.

Remove Greg Chappell! It would do a hell lot of good to Indian cricket! That's half our problems solved! The rest of the problems lie in team selection which is bound to get better with Kiran More out!

We want a coach who can help our team win, not one who demoralises our legends when we are paying him a f***ing sum of 78 lakhs and a flat in Bangalore to stay in!!!!!

Improving performance means a serious business, let our selectors think seriously then we talk about team.

1.Any concrete reasons why Sourav Ganguly is out of the game ?
2.Why non-performing players in current team are not treated as Sourav ?
3.Why we need Ramesh Powar, Ajit Agarkar ???? ( see their records and performance)
4.Anil Kumble is willing to join one day squad, he is performer, why he is out of team ?

Now, we have a good personalities in our Team.
Only the thing is they aren't playing as a team.
Now we/BCCI need to improve the teamlyness in our side!!
The problem is either if at all bowlers succeeds, then batsmen aren't getting good runs or if batsmen get good runs then bowlers aren't getting use of it.

So we need to bring new (psychological/physical) spirit into team in order to succeed as a team.
