Okay so this American girl, a virgin, was getting close to her b/f in bed but she pushed him away just before anything entered her. Nothing has ever entered her. An hour or so later after coming back from a cafe she started to bleed. The bleeding stopped after a shower. So I am guessing that she is still a virgin but what could explain the blood. Period wasn't due. Sensible answers only please, thank you.

You have a thin membrane of skin that partially covers the entrance to your vagina. A little bit of foreplay could have torn that. But that doesn't mean you aren't a virgin. When you have intercourse ,that would be the end of your virginity. By the way ,many girls have lost their hymen by playing sports, or a fall or just by inserting a tampon

It's my guess she "lost her cherry" due to the physical stress or the physical inter joining they were doing. Even through penetration wasn't achieved. This doesn't mean she's not a virgin.
It's strange but most girls today, due to the physical stamina they achieve in school etc, still have their cherries.
