Depends what your looking for... outright horror probably something like Saw or the Hills Have eyes.
Suspence, your getting more towards like Evil Dead...
Hellraiser 1 and 2 are a pretty good mix... Elm Street is good up until 4 ish then its gets a bit... stretched in the plot department...
I think the best horror/suspence movie is the shining though...

Mine has got to be The Entity purely because the whole film is based around a true story. Carie is another good one because of the sound effects.
I do love a good horror.

I dont like horror even the so called classics are utter rubbish and poorly made. wouldn't scare a bright 5yo!
Now the most disgusting thing I ever saw was meerkat's crunching scorpions that sound ugh!

Actually, the scariest movie for me was the original Alien. When the little alien popped out of the man's chest, I popped out of my seat.
