I was 12. And that's when I made my kids stop...Trick or Treating is for little kids to have fun with. I can't stand it when teenagers go around...they should be enjoying the holiday at age appropriate parties/events.

I wanted to stop when I was a senior in high school. But when I went away to college, affording food was difficult at times, so we went trick or treating in COLLEGE TOO!!!!!!!!!!

What?!!! We're supposed to stop?! I'm fifty nine and that is the first time I heard THAT!
Okay, for real I was 13 and in 8th grade and we went with a group from a party and I was a "beatnik" (hippie). In high school we went from a party in costume on a scavenger hunt (I was a hippie) and we did get candy then, too. Now I just steal it form my grandkids just like I used to steal it from my kids. :o)

I think I was 12 or 13 when mom and dad pulled the plug on that. These days, I've seen high school kids running around my neighborhood getting candy.
